Souvenirs de Voyage
Event details
Tickets for this concert are currently only available as part of a subscription series. Individual tickets go on sale in February 2024.
The world premiere of a new work by composer XinYang Wang opens this colorful program. Wang takes equal inspiration from classical concert music and traditional Chinese arts. His new piece highlights the sounds of the flute, the harp, and an array of percussion instruments. Following the premiere, clarinetist Todd Levy joins Festival musicians in Bernard Herrmann’s quintet Souvenirs de Voyage, a cinematic journey through Britain, Ireland, and Italy that showcases the Academy Award-winning composer’s evocative brilliance.
