Beethoven & Weinberg
Event details
Tickets for this concert are currently only available as part of a subscription series. Individual tickets go on sale in February 2024.
Internationally renowned artists Ida Kavafian, Steven Tenenbom, and Eric Kim hold court with Beethoven’s intricate and masterful C Minor String Trio to start the evening. Following this classical delight, violinist John Storgårds and pianist Katia Skanavi join Kavafian, Tenenbom, and Kim for the Festival’s first presentation of Mieczyslaw Weinberg’s brilliant and haunting Piano Quintet. Weinberg’s rarely performed masterpiece stands as one of the great piano quintets of the 20th Century.
