Dvořák & Prokofiev
Event details
Tickets for this concert are currently only available as part of a subscription series. Individual tickets go on sale in February 2024.
In the first half of this program, British composer Julian Anderson’s The Bearded Lady and Prokofiev’s Flute Sonata take the listener on journeys that are equally playful and poignant. Clarinetist Todd Levy and flutist Tara Helen O’Connor are virtuoso interpreters of these two works, both of which are known for the inventiveness of their melodies and textures. In the second half, the Miami Quartet returns to perform one of Dvořák’s finest chamber works—the exuberant String Sextet in A Major—with violist Toby Appel and cellist Peter Stumpf.
