Beethoven, Ligeti & Mendelssohn
Event details
Tickets for this concert are currently only available as part of a subscription series. Individual tickets go on sale in February 2024.
This season opens with the genius of three masters: Ligeti’s enchanting Six Bagatelles begins the program with a playful excursion through the wide range of delights only a wind quintet can offer. Beethoven’s landmark Sonata for Cello and Piano, Op. 69 revels in the play of virtuosity between pianist Zoltan Fejérvári and cellist Narek Hakhnazarian, whose performances have been described as “nothing short of magnificent” (San Francisco Chronicle). Violinist Yura Lee returns to join Hakhnazarian and Fejérvári in Mendelssohn’s beloved D Minor Trio, bringing this season’s first program to an exhilarating close.
