Bartók & Dvořák
Event details
Tickets for this concert are currently only available as part of a subscription series. Individual tickets go on sale in February 2024.
This program spans the contemporary, the avant-garde, and the Romantic. Dutilleux’s Les Citations weaves a rich tapestry of sound with its unusual instrumentation of harpsichord, oboe, bass, and percussion. Yura Lee and pianist Zoltan Fejérvári share a riveting dialogue of rhythmic complexity in Bartok’s vibrant Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano. And Solo Bassist of San Francisco’s New Century Chamber Orchestra Anthony Manzo makes his Festival debut with Dvořák’s sonorous and sunny G Major Quintet, Op. 77, capping an evening of depth and diversity.
