Liz Ramirez

Liz Ramirez is a New York City native clarinetist/musician and passionate educator with over twenty years performing experience and over fifteen years of teaching experience. She loves teaching and learning, and believes in the power of music to enrich our lives. Many of her students have been accepted to high-level music programs (including the All-American D-Day Band 2023 and the Juilliard Music Advancement Program) and consistently receive top placement in Solo and Ensemble and All-State auditions.

Ms. Ramirez has been a teaching artist with Dream Big since 2018. As a professional clarinetist, Liz has performed with many different types of ensembles, including the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Banda Nueva York. Ms. Ramirez received her Bachelor’s Degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and her Master’s Degree at the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Brahms has her heart, and she will never turn down rocking out to a Mahler symphony!
