Russian American Soprano, Erika Baikoff, is a recent graduate of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program. As a Lindemann Young Artist, she sang the roles of Xenia in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov and Barbarina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. At Maestro Nézet-Séguin’s invitation, she joined the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra’s tour of Das Rheingold and was featured as the soprano soloist in Mahler’s 4th Symphony with Maestro Rustioni and the Ulster Orchestra. Equally passionate about chamber music, she made her debuts with Schubertíada and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, both of which she will return to in future seasons. The 2023/2024 season includes debuts with the Houston Grand Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, and Ciclo de Lied.

Ran Dank is one of today’s most ardent advocates for contemporary music. Alongside his wife, pianist Soyeon Kate Lee, Ran debuted the world premieres of Frederic Rzewski’s Four Hands, and Alexander Goehr’s Seven Impromptus.

The pianist Julius Drake lives in London and enjoys an international reputation as one of the finest instrumentalists in his field, collaborating with many of the world’s leading artists, both in recital and on disc.

His passionate interest in song has led to invitations to devise song series for Wigmore Hall, London; The Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; 92nd Street Y, New York; and the Pierre Boulez Saal, Berlin. He curates an annual series of song recitals – Julius Drake and Friends – in the historic Middle Temple Hall in London. Julius holds a Professorship at Graz University in Austria for Music and the Performing Arts, where he has a class for song pianists. He is also a Professor of Collaborative Piano at the Guildhall School of Music in London. He is regularly invited to give masterclasses worldwide.

Pianist Kirill Gerstein’s heritage combines the traditions of Russian, American, and Central European music-making with an insatiable curiosity. These qualities and the relationships he’s developed with orchestras, conductors, instrumentalists, singers, and composers have led him to explore a huge spectrum of repertoire, both new and old. From Bach to Thomas Adès, Gerstein’s playing is distinguished by a ferocious technique and discerning intelligence matched by an energetic, imaginative musical presence that places him at the top of his profession.

Juho Pohjonen is a highly acclaimed Finnish pianist who has captivated audiences worldwide with his exceptional talent and unique musical expression. He has garnered international acclaim for his performances across Europe, Asia, and North America. Pianist Katia Skanavi’s combination of Greek-Russian cultural roots and Central European musical traditions results in music-making with a unique blend of spontaneity, intuition, and erudition.

A Greek citizen born in the former Soviet Union, Skanavi is based in Moscow and Berlin. Equally active as a soloist and a chamber music partner, she’s appeared worldwide with conductors such as James Conlon, Kurt Masur, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, and Jaap van Zweden. Skanavi has collaborated with the major orchestras in Russia and, internationally, with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Camerata Salzburg, Kremerata Baltica, the Orchestre National de France, and the Cincinnati, Dallas, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Tokyo symphony orchestras. She’s also presented recital programs in Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Vienna, and New York. Skanavi has partnered with Gidon Kremer in concert-duo performances and on a recording, and she’s played sonatas with Leonidas Kavakos and Yuri Bashmet.

Swiss-born American pianist Gilles Vonsattel is an artist of extraordinary versatility and originality. He’s the recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, the winner of the Naumburg and Geneva competitions, and a laureate of the Cleveland, Dublin, and Honens competitions. He’s appeared with the Munich Philharmonic, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, and Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, and San Francisco symphony orchestras, and he’s appeared in recital and chamber music concerts at the Ravinia, Lucerne, Bravo! Pianist Shai Wosner has attracted international recognition for his exceptional artistry, musical integrity, and creative insight. Paolo Bordignon is the harpsichordist for the New York Philharmonic. In the 2022–23 season, he appears with the Philadelphia Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Mark Morris Dance Group; Camerata Pacifica; and the New York City–based orchestra The Knights. Recent engagements include performances with the Boston Symphony Chamber Players, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra musicians, the All-Star Orchestra, Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, ECCO (the East Coast Chamber Orchestra), and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. He’s also appeared at the Bard Music Festival in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York; on the Parlance Chamber Concerts series in Ridgewood, New Jersey; and at festivals in Aspen, Bridgehampton, Jackson Hole, Palm Beach, and Vail. He’s also been a frequent recitalist at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he’s held a 10-concert residency.

Mr. Beaver was first violin of the world-renowned Tokyo String Quartet from June 2002 until its final concert in July 2013. As such, he appeared to critical and public acclaim on the major stages of the world, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Berliner Philharmonie, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Sydney Opera House.

Kathleen Brauer made her solo debut with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at the age of 15. She’s a member of the first violin sections of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, and she’s an assistant concertmaster of and frequent soloist with the Music of the Baroque chamber orchestra. Previously, she was a member of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and the assistant concertmaster of the Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit.

Marlena Chow Morgan received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance at the New England Conservatory in Boston, where she studied with Malcolm Lowe, the concertmaster of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Before joining the Naples Philharmonic, she was a member of the New World Symphony in Miami Beach.

Violinist Carla Ecker currently performs as Concertmaster of the Rogue Valley Symphony in Ashland, OR, as well being a member of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra since 1993. She currently resides in Phoenix, AZ where she performs regularly with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Ecker previously held the post of Associate Concertmaster of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra where she also performed as Interim Concertmaster for several seasons. She has performed as Guest Concertmaster for Opera Southwest and held principal positions in the Sarasota Opera Orchestra, New Mexico Symphony and the El Paso Symphony. In addition, her career has included positions with the Santa Fe Pro Musica, Santa Fe Symphony, Charleston Symphony, and Pacific Symphony.

Violinist Jennifer Frautschi is a two-time Grammy Award nominee and an Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient. She’s garnered worldwide acclaim as a deeply expressive and musically adventurous violinist with impeccable technique and a wide-ranging repertoire. She’s equally at home playing contemporary and classic repertoire, and recent seasons have featured performances and recordings of works by composers ranging from Robert Schumann and Lili Boulanger to Arnold Schoenberg and Barbara White. Frautschi has also had the privilege of premiering several works written for her by prominent composers of today.

The riveting American violinist William Hagen is a seasoned international performer who’s appeared as a soloist with many of the world’s great orchestras, including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and the Chicago, Frankfurt Radio, and San Francisco symphony orchestras, among many others. He’s been hailed as a “brilliant virtuoso” and “a standout” by The Dallas Morning News, while the Chicago Classical Review has praised his “glowing tone,” “virtuosic pyrotechnics,” and “poise and maturity” as a player. In 2015, Hagan won third prize in the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, making him one of the most successful Americans in that prestigious competition’s history.

Acclaimed by critics worldwide for his exceptional talent and magnificent tone, American violinist Chad Hoopes has remained an impressive, consistent, and versatile performer with many of the world’s leading orchestras since winning First Prize at the Young Artists Division of the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition. 

Hoopes is a 2017 recipient of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fischer Career Grant. Former winners include Kirill Gerstein, Yuja Wang, Leila Josefowicz, Joshua Bell, and Hilary Hahn.

Recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2015 and Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists in 2017, violinist Paul Huang is considered one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. In 2012, in a review of Huang’s recital debut at The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, The Washington Post called him “an artist with the goods for a significant career.” In 2016, following Huang’s recital with pianist Jessica Xylina Osborne at The Phillips Collection, The Washington Post praised him again, noting that he “possesses a big, luscious tone, spot-on intonation and a technique that makes the most punishing string phrases feel as natural as breathing.”

Leila Josefowicz’s passionate advocacy of contemporary music for the violin is reflected in her diverse programs and enthusiasm for performing new works. A favorite of living composers, Josefowicz has premiered many concertos, including those by Colin Matthews, Luca Francesconi, John Adams and Esa-Pekka Salonen, all written specially for her.

She’s premiered many new works, toured and recorded with fiddler/composer Mark O’Connor and with jazz greats Chick Corea and Wynton Marsalis, and had a solo feature on CBS Sunday Morning. She premiered and recorded Michael Daugherty’s violin concerto Fire and Blood with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and, as a violist, toured and recorded with the Guarneri Quartet and performed with the Orion, Shanghai, and American string quartets.

Benny Kim is first violinist for the Miami String Quartet and is known for his versatility as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. Engagements include recital appearances at the 92nd Street Y in New York City and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC; festival appearances in Santa Fe, Savannah, and Angel Fire; and concertos with the Chicago, Boston, and St. Louis symphony orchestras. Kim is an associate professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory, and he appears on several recordings.

Bryan Lee is a violinist with the Dover Quartet, the Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music. Mr. Lee has performed as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Delaware, Lansdowne, and Temple University symphony orchestras, among others. He was awarded the bronze medal at the 2005 Stulberg International String Competition and won second prize at the 2004 Kingsville Young Performers Competition. He has been featured on NPR’s From the Top and has attended Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute, La Jolla Music Society’s Summerfest, Music from Angel Fire, Encore School for Strings, Sarasota Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, and the Perlman Music Program.

Joel Link is a violinist with the Dover Quartet, the Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music. Mr. Link is an active soloist and chamber musician; and has been a top prize winner of numerous competitions including the Johansen International Competition in Washington, D.C. and the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in England, for which he was featured in The Strad magazine. Violinist/Violist Philip Payton enjoys a diverse career in New York city, throughout the country and abroad. He is currently in the orchestra of Broadway’s West Side Story as well as performing regularly with the symphonies of Sarasota, Harrisburg, New Jersey, Gotham Chamber Opera and others. He also performs with Ritz Chamber Players, Argento Chamber Ensemble, Chamber Dance Project and has played in the productions of Phantom of The Opera, Wicked, A Tale of Two Cities, Crybaby and Spring Awakening on violin, viola and electric guitar.

Violinist Daniel Phillips enjoys a versatile career as an established chamber musician, solo artist, and teacher. He serves as co-artistic director of the Music from Angel Fire chamber music festival with his wife, flutist Tara Helen O’Connor, and he’s a founding member of the 36-year-old Orion String Quartet, which regularly performs with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The quartet’s discography includes the complete quartets of Beethoven and Kirchner.

Known for her versatility as both a violinist and violist, Ashley Vandiver has performed in more than 30 countries on five continents. She’s currently the fourth-chair viola in the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and she’s a violinist in The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra during the summer. Prior to joining the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, she was a violinist in the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa.

Vandiver was a founding member of and rotating concertmaster for the Grammy-nominated chamber orchestra A Far Cry, which The New York Times praised for “[brimming] with personality or better, personalities, many and varied.” She’s also performed regularly with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, and the New York City–based orchestra The Knights.

Toby Appel has appeared in recital and concerto performances throughout North and South America, Europe, and the Far East. He’s been a member of such renowned ensembles as TASHI and the Lenox and Audubon quartets; a guest artist with the Vermeer, Manhattan, Alexander, and Dover quartets; and a frequent guest with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and jazz artists Chick Corea and Gary Burton. His festival appearances include Mostly Mozart; Chamber Music Northwest; the Seattle Chamber Music Society; Music from Angel Fire; the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival; the Marlboro, Manchester, Colorado College Summer, and Bravo! Vail music festivals; and festivals in England, France, Korea, Germany, Italy, Finland, and Greece.

Margaret Dyer Harris is assistant principal viola for The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra and a member of the New York City–based orchestra The Knights. She was a founding member of the Grammy-nominated chamber orchestra A Far Cry, and she’s performed with various other ensembles, such as ECCO and the Moscow, Orpheus, and Saint Paul chamber orchestras. Her first exposure to chamber music was in her childhood living room, watching her mother, Saskia, join friends to read string quartets. Since then, she’s had the pleasure of performing these works all over the world (and sometimes in her childhood living room with her mother).

Julianne Lee joins the Dover Quartet, the Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music, as its violist in September 2023. She has forged a remarkable career as both a violinist and violist, frequently appearing as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She holds the position of assistant principal second violinist at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and has been a member of the BSO violin section since 2006, serving as acting assistant concertmaster from 2013 to 2015. From 2017 to 2019, she was also the principal second violinist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Violist Steven Tenenbom has established a distinguished career as a chamber musician, soloist, recitalist, and teacher. He’s worked with composer Lukas Foss and jazz artist Chick Corea, and he’s appeared as a guest artist with ensembles and organizations such as the Guarneri Quartet, Emerson String Quartet, Beaux Arts Trio, Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio, and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Nicholas Canellakis has become one of the most sought-after and innovative cellists of his generation, praised as a “superb young soloist” (New Yorker) and for being “impassioned … the audience seduced by Mr. Canellakis’s rich, alluring tone” (New York Times).  A multifaceted artist, Canellakis has forged a unique voice combining his talents as soloist, chamber musician, curator, filmmaker, composer/arranger, and teacher.

Cellist Alastair Eng is assistant principal cello of The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra and a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO). Prior to joining the TSO, Eng, who was born and raised in Toronto, was associate principal cello of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra. His playing has been described as “exquisite” (Broadway World), “a highlight” (The Classical Review), and “songfully performed” (National Post).

Felix Fan’s versatility has made him one of the most sought-after cellists of his generation. As a chamber musician, he’s performed with cellists Yo-Yo Ma and János Starker and violinist Gil Shaham, and he’s appeared in such venues as Carnegie Hall in New York City, The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Royal Festival Hall in London. Fan’s recent solo engagements include the San Diego Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Macau Orchestra, and Munich Chamber Orchestra. In 2006, Fan and violinist Cho-Liang Lin recorded Gordon Chin’s Double Concerto for Violin and Cello with the Kansas City Symphony, led by Music Director Michael Stern, on the Naxos label.

Cellist Eric Kim enjoys a diverse career as a recitalist, a chamber musician, an orchestral soloist, and a teacher. He made his solo debut at age 15 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; since then, he’s been a featured soloist with the Cincinnati, Denver, and San Diego symphony orchestras, and he’s collaborated with conductors Alan Gilbert, Zubin Mehta, Paavo Järvi, Jesús López Cobos, Lawrence Foster, Sergiu Comissiona, Gianandrea Noseda, and Stanisław Skrowaczewski. He was also a featured soloist with the Juilliard Orchestra during the ensemble’s critically acclaimed tour of the Far East.

A modern player with a “signature sound” and distinctive style of playing, cellist Mark Kosower embodies the concept of the complete musician performing as concerto soloist with symphony orchestras, in solo recitals, and as a much admired and sought-after chamber musician. He is Principal Cello of The Cleveland Orchestra and a scholar and teacher of cello. Mark’s performance repertoire and discography are testaments to a deep devotion, not only to frequently heard repertoire such as Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations and concertos of Haydn, Walton, Elgar, and Dvořák but, significantly, to less well-known concertos of Alberto Ginastera, Miklos Rozsa, Frederich Gulda and Victor Herbert. Mr. Kosower has recorded for the Ambitus, Delos, Naxos International and VAI labels, including as the first cellist to record the complete music for solo cello of Alberto Ginastera (Naxos). He was described as a “powerful advocate of Ginastera’s art” by MusicWeb International, and Strings Magazine noted of his Hungarian music album (also with Naxos) that “the music allows Kosower to showcase his stunning virtuosity, passionate intensity, and elegant phrasing.”

Cellist Keith Robinson is a founding member of the Miami String Quartet and has been active as a chamber musician, recitalist, and soloist since his graduation from the Curtis Institute of Music. He has had numerous solo appearances with orchestras including the New World Symphony, the American Sinfonietta, and the Miami Chamber Symphony, and in 1989 won the P.A.C.E. “Classical Artist of the Year” Award. His most recent recording released on Blue Griffin Records features the complete works of Mendelssohn for cello and piano with his colleague Donna Lee. In 1992 the Miami String Quartet became the first string quartet in a decade to win First Prize of the Concert Artists Guild New York Competition.

Camden Shaw is the cellist of the Dover Quartet, the Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music. He has appeared with the ensemble in performances all over the world to great acclaim. Mr. Shaw has collaborated in chamber music with such renowned artists as Daniel Hope, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and the late Leon Fleischer, and maintains an active career as a soloist. Highlights from recent seasons include a performance of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, Op. 56 with the Artosphere Festival Orchestra, where Shaw also holds the principal chair; and the release of his solo album by Unipheye Music, which was met with critical praise.

Acclaimed for his inspirational performances and eloquent musicianship, Paul Watkins enjoys a remarkably varied and distinguished career as soloist, chamber musician and conductor. He regularly appears as concerto soloist with orchestras throughout the world. Recent highlights include concertos with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Colorado Symphony, Hong Kong and Royal Flemish Philharmonic Orchestras, and appearances at the BBC Proms as conductor and soloist.

Mark Tatum is a member of The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra, principal bass of the Opera Southwest Orchestra, and assistant principal bass of the New Mexico Philharmonic.

Bart Feller is principal flute of the New Jersey Symphony and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He’s performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and he’s appeared at Bargemusic, a floating concert hall in New York City. Feller graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and has given recitals and classes throughout the United States. Among the summer festivals he’s participated in are the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Napa Valley Chamber Music Festival, Marlboro Music Festival, Grand Teton Music Festival, OK Mozart International Festival, and Colorado College Summer Music Festival.

Feller is a professor of flute at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, and he teaches in the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School. He’s released three CDs: Elysian Fields, 20th-Century Duos, and Mozart Flute Quartets.

Flutist Tara Helen O’Connor is a charismatic performer noted for her artistic depth, brilliant technique, and colorful tone spanning every musical era. A highly sought-after chamber musician and soloist, O’Connor is a season artist of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and a regular performer at numerous festivals, including Music@Menlo; Chamber Music Northwest; Mainly Mozart; Chesapeake Music; Summer Music at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity; the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival; Spoleto Festival USA; and Bravo! Vail Music Festival. She and her husband, violinist Daniel Phillips, are the artistic directors of the Music from Angel Fire festival in New Mexico.

Julia DeRosa is principal oboe of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and second oboe and English horn of The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. An accomplished freelancer in New York City, she regularly performs with the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, American Ballet Theater, Orpheus Chamber, and Saint Paul Chamber orchestras; the Orchestra of St. Luke’s; and the Baltimore, American, and New Jersey symphony orchestras. DeRosa is a faculty member at the Mannes School of Music and for The Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program. She attended Juilliard, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the studio of Elaine Douvas, with additional instruction from Richard Dallessio, Pedro Díaz, Nathan Hughes, and Linda Strommen.

Robert Ingliss is principal oboe of the New Jersey Symphony and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He’s premiered solo and chamber music works by numerous composers, including Milton Babbitt, Elliott Carter, Marc-André Dalbavie, Henri Dutilleux, and Charles Wuorinen. He’s performed in more than 30 countries on five continents, and, as a soloist, his engagements have included the American Symphony Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, League of Composers/ISCM Chamber Players, New Jersey Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Santa Fe Pro Musica, and the Washington Square Music Festival, among others. Ingliss has taught at Columbia University, Sarah Lawrence College, SUNY Purchase, and the University of Connecticut.

Principal Oboe of the New Mexico Philharmonic, Dr. Kevin Vigneau is also Professor of Oboe at UNM and has enjoyed an international career as an orchestral player, soloist, teacher, and chamber musician.

Frank Rosenwein joined The Cleveland Orchestra as principal oboe at the beginning of the 2005–06 season. He made his solo debut with the Orchestra in February 2007, in Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2. Since then he has performed many times as soloist, including playing the Richard Strauss Oboe Concerto in 2012 and the first Cleveland Orchestra performances of the Vaughan Williams Oboe Concerto in 2017.

Todd Levy is principal clarinet of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra. He’s a four-time Grammy Award winner, and he’s performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall and the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York City, with the Israel Philharmonic, and at the White House in Washington, DC.

For clarinetist Carol McGonnell, the word ‘play’ takes center stage. It reaches far beyond the formal act of making music. It starts by acknowledging our natural state; open, receptive, awake, alive.

With these as innate qualities, music is an unfolding experience in which we can exist in the exquisite present moment. A shift from observing to becoming, moving together into a space of heightened energy. In this sense, play is a path to be actively followed by listeners and performers alike. Play is about bravery and ferocious curiosity.

Winner of both the Avery Fisher Career Grant (1987) and the Avery Fisher Prize (2000), David Shifrin is in constant demand as an orchestral soloist, recitalist and chamber music collaborator.

Mr. Shifrin has appeared as soloist with the Philadelphia and Minnesota Orchestras and the Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Milwaukee, Detroit, Fort Worth, Hawaii and Phoenix Symphonies, among many others in the United States, as well as with orchestras in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.

Argentinian-born bassoonist Julia Harguindey joined the Nashville Symphony and The Santa Fe Opera Orchestra as principal bassoon at the beginning of the 2016–17 season. She’s performed with the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival and as guest principal bassoon with numerous ensembles, including the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Les Violons du Roy (in Québec).

Stefan Dohr is blessed with both a “thundering tone that resounds valley-wide” (Berliner Zeitung) and a breathtakingly “delicate piano that sounds as if from afar” (Badische Zeitung). As an acclaimed soloist, chamber musician and principal horn of the Berliner Philharmoniker, he is a mainstay of the international horn scene. In the orchestra, he has a special task: on the one hand, the horn player is a “quasi mediator between the instrumental groups, on the other hand, a soloist in Mahler and Bruckner symphonies, for example”.

Gabriel Kovach, born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is active as both a chamber and orchestral musician. Mr. Kovach has been Principal Horn of the Phoenix Symphony since 2006. Previously, he has held positions as both the Principal Horn of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. During the summers he travels to Cooperstown, N.Y. as Principal Horn of the Glimmerglass Opera Festival. He has served as Principal Horn of the National Arts Center Orchestra in Ottawa Canada, under the direction of Pinchas Zukerman.

Additionally, he has toured with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, sharing duties as Principal and Second Horn. Mr. Kovach also continues to perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra as an active member of their substitute pool and joined them for tours of Asia in 2005. In 2008 Gabriel Kovach was named as an Endorsing Artist for Conn-Selmer.

Colin Currie is a solo and chamber artist who champions new music at the highest level, hailed as being “at the summit of percussion performance today” (Gramophone). Currie is the soloist of choice for many of today’s foremost composers and conductors, performing with leading orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Philharmonia Orchestra, and London Philharmonic Orchestras.

Percussionist Daniel Druckman is active as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and recording artist, concertizing throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. He has appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the American Composer’s Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic’s Horizons concerts, the San Francisco Symphony’s “New and Unusual Music Series,” and in recital in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Tokyo. He has been a member of the New York Philharmonic since 1991, where he serves as Associate Principal Percussionist, and has made numerous guest appearances with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Da Capo Chamber Players, the American Brass Quintet, the Group for Contemporary Music, Orpheus, Steve Reich and Musicians, and the Philip Glass Ensemble. Druckman has also participated in chamber music festivals at Santa Fe, Ravinia, Saratoga, Caramoor, Bridgehampton, Tanglewood, and Aspen.

Doug Perkins is a GRAMMY-nominated percussionist, producer, and conductor who has been declared a “percussion virtuoso” by the New York Times. He has appeared at venues of all types including Carnegie Hall, the Barbican Center, and the Alaskan Tundra.

Gregory Zuber is the principal percussionist for the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, which he joined in 1986. He’s toured the United States, Europe, and Japan with the Met, and he’s been featured with the orchestra as a concerto soloist at Carnegie Hall. He can be heard regularly on the Met’s radio broadcasts, satellite radio broadcasts, and HD movie theater broadcasts.

The Calidore String Quartet is recognized as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of a vast chamber music repertory, from the cycles of quartets by Beethoven and Mendelssohn to works of celebrated contemporary voices like György Kurtág, Jörg Widmann, and Caroline Shaw. For more than a decade, the Calidore has enjoyed performances and residencies in the world’s major venues and festivals, released multiple critically acclaimed recordings, and won numerous awards. The Los Angeles Times described the musicians as “astonishing,” their playing “shockingly deep,” approaching “the kind of sublimity other quartets spend a lifetime searching.” The New York Times noted the Quartet’s “deep reserves of virtuosity and irrepressible dramatic instinct,” and The Washington Post wrote that “four more individual musicians are unimaginable, yet these speak, breathe, think and feel as one”.
